We're proud to announce that Mafaz Al-Suwaidan, a creative writing major at Emerson college, is the winner of The Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship.
The $5000 scholarship is awarded to one active college student who is committed to entrepreneurship. Students were required to submit an essay on their vision for the future of entrepreneurship, and how they'll contribute to making it happen:
Mafaz says it best:
The future of entrepreneurship, in both my opinion and experience, relies on three major components: zooming in, being on-the-go, and offering small but sustainable victories to all those involved.
Founded by two entrepreneurs, Grasshopper has been making it easier to start and grow a small business since 2003. Back then, Grasshopper was just two guys with a dream. To date we've served over 150,000 entrepreneurs (and we're still growing). We wanted to be entrepreneurially generous, so we created a scholarship that would help college students afford the rising cost of tuition.
Today our commitment to helping entrepreneurs is stronger than ever, and to that end we are proud to award this scholarship to Mafaz. Congratulations.
Thanks to all who applied for this year's scholarship. Until next year!
